Lenore Jackett, grand prize winner of the Downtown Holiday Shopping Passport program, picked up her prize of $1,500 in downtown money at Gentry Apparel at 377 George Street North on Jan. 16.

Congratulations to this year’s passport winners:

• Denise Fajt — $500

• Mary McLoughlin — $500

• Rod Marshall — $500

• Lenore Jackett — $1,500

The Holiday Shopping Passports program is run by the Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Area and rewards people for supporting local businesses by shopping, dining and enjoying downtown. Shoppers get a stamp for every $10 spent downtown, with 20 stamps making a full passport which is entered into draws for a total of $3,000 in downtown money.

“The Holiday Shopping Passport program has grown into a big success with nearly $1.9 million spent downtown through the program this holiday season,” says Terry Guiel, Executive Director of the DBIA. “This is thanks to this community supporting local businesses.”
